Senior Fire Officer 1 Leonardo Albarico of the Mintal Police, in an interview with Sun.Star Superbalita, said faulty electrical wiring caused the fire.
Albarico said based on investigation conducted by fire investigator Humahabla Safari, the blaze damaged P600,00 worth of property.
The fire started around 1:50 a.m. on Friday at Bouganvilla St., Mintal Public Market. Firemen from the Mintal Fire Station, Calinan Fire Station, Fire Volunteers, and Central 911 immediately responded to the scene.
The fire was declared under control at around 2:20 a.m. No one died or was injured in the incident.
Members of the Mintal Fire Station are still conducting further investigation on the cause of the fire that paralyzed the livelihood of vendors. (JAR)
