By Rhodamae M. Hernandez

POLICE arrested a 41-year-old trader and three teenage youths for smoking marijuana in two separate incidents last Sunday.

First to be arrested and now detained at the Sta. Ana police station was Mike Pacatang, 41, a resident of Doña Asuncion Village in Barrio Pampanga, Davao City.

Barangay policeman received a tip from residents that some men were in a pot session inside a shanty. Barangay policemen sought the help of the Sta. Ana police who arrived in time to arrest Pacatang. The suspect's other companions, however, were able to escape.

Three minors, on the other hand, were arrested while smoking marijuana at Times Beach in Matina by the Anti-Hoodlum Unit of the Talomo Police Precinct under Police Inspector Ronald Lao.

One of the minors was celebrating his birthday at the time. Police are preparing the cases against the four.
