Tamayo, Dalayon shine

JERSON Tamayo and Rene Dalayon shared top honors in the SBC Bowler of the Week Tournament Sunday night at the Fairlanes Bowling Center.

Tamayo clinched the class A title by striking a total of 247 pinfalls after two games while Jimmy Sia rolled 241 pins for the second place.

Updates on the Kadayawan Festival 2007

Boy Payca rolled 234 pins to land at the third spot in the tournament organized by the Sunday Bowlers Club.

Dalayon ruled class B with 237 pinfalls over Joe Torres and Nonoy Lacuesta who placed second and third, respectively.

Torres amassed 227 while Lacuesta made 222 pinfalls.

The class C title went to Boy Aninon who garnered 259 while Rain Lacuesta scored 240 in second and Peter Morales with 224 in third.

Che-Che Payca bested Cabrille Morales, 193-183.

SBC president Emie Orteza said the monthly finals pitting the weekly champions would be held on Sunday.

Cash prizes and trophies will be up for grabs in the competition that features the division A for non-government, private, and government teams and division B for commercial teams. (MLSA)
