E-Games Evolution at SM City Thursday
By Ben O. Tesiorna

ONLINE gamers in Davao City are expected to troop to SM City Davao Thursday, where the e-Games Evolution Tour will take place at the mall's Entertainment Plaza.

The e-Games Evolution is a roadshow presentation that highlights the broadening of its roster of games from free-to-play and pay-to-play titles.

It will add triple-A titles such as Granado Espada, a full 3D MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role playing game) made by Hakkyu Kim, legendary game producer with its highly successful free-to-play online games RAN Online, Supreme Destiny, Audition Dance Battle, O2Jam and Dreamville.

E-Games will also unveil its new logo, now spherical to signify its solid, well rounded offerings while still maintaining the core values and innovation that set it apart from the rest.

E-Games Evolution also represents the change that IP e-Games are going through. While IP e-Games revolutionized the gaming industry with its introduction of the free-to-play model, it is now setting new grounds for other local and regional game publishers to follow.

The day's activities will include free play for all e-Games titles, tournaments, raffles, and other contests. This is also a great opportunity for the Davao e-Gamers to meet up and interact with their fellow gamers.

The same event was previously held in SM North Edsa's The Block. Thursday's event is the second in its series of mall tours.

Next month, the e-Games Evolution Tour will be held in SM Cebu. Other malls to host the tour will be SM's Lipa, Pampanga, Megamall Baguio, Southmall and Mall of Asia. The tour started last September 16 and will end on April 19, 2008.
