Rody supports decisions of Sara as acting mayor
By Ben O. Tesiorna

DAVAO City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte supports his daughter Vice Mayor Sara Duterte and even all her decisions as acting mayor while he is away.

Rating his daughter's performance as "good," the mayor said he is careful in making any judgment on Sara's performance considering their close personal ties.

"I don't want to be judgmental. Kasi kung kampihan ko sabihin ng iba na natural kay anak ko 'yan (If I side with her, some people will say it’s because she is my daughter). Ngayon kung sabihin ko naman na pangit ang (Now, if I say she has a bad) performance niya, baka awayin naman ako ng anak ko (my daughter might quarrel me). I think she's doing good. So far so good," Mayor Duterte said.

When informed about Sara's order to recall all television sets from offices inside City Hall, Duterte said he will first study what prompted his daughter to make such an order. He said if the order is legal and proper then he might just sustain it.

"Tingnan natin (We will see). If I find nothing wrong to it I might sustain it," Duterte said.

Informed as well with how similar he and Sara dealt with arrested criminals being presented to them, Mayor Duterte inquired if his daughter has also the knack of cussing in front of criminals.

"Mamutang ina pud ba? Manlaparo pud (Does she curse as well? Does she beat people up)?" he asked.
