Saturday, September 29, 2007 Dancesport team pockets 2 medals
THE Dancesport Team Davao, Inc. won a trophy and two medals in the just-concluded 2nd Cebu IDSF (International DanceSport Federation) Open DanceSport Championship 2007 and the 3rd Southern Philippines DanceSport Championship "DanceSport sa Sugbu" 2007 at the Waterfront Hotel, Cebu City.
"We made it to the finals in the Junior (12 to 15 years old) Latin category where we garnered a trophy and two medals," training director Denise Bunayog said.
Bunayog paired with Dancesport Team Davao, Inc. president Jeannette Ortiz in the adult Latin category.
"We were ranked eighth against other foreign competitors while two of our entries made it to the semi-finals," Bunayog said in a statement.
"Given more time and support, we hope to bring more honor and pride to Davao City," he said.
The Davao coaches and trainers, according to him, also attended the 1st IDSF Dancesport Adjudicators Congress and Examination. (MLSA)
