3 minors shot dead by bike-riding men

THREE minors were shot dead while having a drinking session in front of a store at Sto. Niņo Riverside in Doņa Paz, Sasa, Davao City, Monday morning.

Initial investigation revealed that the incident happened at around 3 a.m., two days after the Commission on Elections (Comelec) started to implement the gun ban for the upcoming barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections on October 29.

Police Officer 3 Henry Balbiran said the victims were seated on a bench in front of the a store owned by one Emy Tejana when three of the five unidentified motorcycle-riding gunmen approached them and without provocation, took turns in stabbing sand shooting the victims.

According to reports, the victims were members of gang frequently involved in riots in the said area.

It was also revealed that one of the victims was detained at the Sasa police station and was allegedly involved in robbery/theft incident.

Recovered at the crime scene were one slug and two empty shells of a caliber .45 pistol and were already endorsed to the Scene of the Crime Operatives .

Police are conducting further investigations to identify and arrest three suspects.
