Posh subdivision developers least of HUDCC worries
By Carlo P. Mallo

DEVELOPERS of high-end subdivisions in Davao City are the least of the worries of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC).

Rose Taasan, representative of HUDCC, said Monday developers of high-end subdivisions in the city do not cause any problem.

"With regard to compliance for necessary permits, they themselves make sure that everything has been complied with," Taasan said.

The government requires that high-end development undertaken by a developer, a socialized housing counterpart should also be developed.

"All of the high-end developers in the city have duly complied with that rule," she said, adding that developers do not need to be incessantly reminded that at least 20 percent of their annual projects are in socialized housing.

She said a quick tour in the city's outskirts would prove that developers of posh subdivisions have indeed engaged in socialized housing.

High-end developers are also most compliant with the zoning being implemented in the city.
