THE University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC) cagebelles routed Davao Wisdom Academy (DWA), 57-24, to grab its second win in three outings in the 5th Gaisano South (GS) Cup at the GS Citimall SkyGym Sunday.
DWA dropped to a 0-3 record in the girls event of the cagefest sanctioned by the Basketball Association of the Philippines-Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas(BAP-SBP) under regional director Regino "Boy" Cua.
The Magallanes Elementary School toyed with the hapless Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC), 75-33, in the mini division.
In college division 2, AMA Computer College pulled off a convincing 83-77 win over Holy Child College as Karlo Cajes sizzled with 31 points for the best player of the game honors.
The win was AMA's third in the meet while Holy Child stumbled with its first loss in three games.
Tournament director Rico Jhone Biliran said games will resume on Thursday with St. Therese trying to improve its 3-1 card against 2-2 DWA in juniors division 2 at 5 p.m. (MLSA)
