The group performed their contest pieces for the public before the start of Tuesday's council session while requesting the people for financial support for their trip.

Floor Leader Bonifacio Militar, after the performance, said the City Council committee on finance, ways, and means and appropriations chaired by Councilor Myrna Dalodo Ortiz will be assigned to raise the amount of P100,000 to help the group.

The contest pieces consist of the gospel song "The Walls of Jericho, the Visayan hit "Usahay" and "Circle of Life,” the theme of Disney's animated hit, The Lion King.
