Warm days, wet nights
By Carlo P. Mallo

DAVAO City can expect a continuation of warm days and wet nights for the entire week. An inter-tropical convergent zone (ITCZ) is affecting Eastern Visayas and the entire island of Mindanao.

With the ITCZ affecting the region, more rains and thunderstorms are expected. However, coastal waters will remain to be calm most of the time.

Extended forecasts from the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pag-asa) reported that Mindanao, particularly Southern Mindanao, will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms especially in the late afternoon or evening.

Coastal water in the region will be slight to moderate and at times rough during thunderstorms.

Temperatures in the city are expected to range from a high of 32 degrees Celsius at high noon to a low of 23 degrees Celsius during early morning. Light to moderate winds will be blowing from the northeasterly part of the Southern Mindanao.

Humidity in the region will range from a high of 96 percent in the early morning and will be at a low of 58 percent in the afternoon.
