NEWCOMER DEEPER Life Church shocked defending champion Good Shepherd Church, 82-78, Saturday in the Inter-Church Basketball League (ICBL) Duterte Cup 16th Conference at the Davao City Recreation Center.
Deeper Life Church, headed by Pastor Dick Togonon, came from behind to pull off the upset win. The team trailed by eight points after the first quarter. Good Shepherd Church, led by Pastor Danilo Gomia, dictated the tempo early on but its defense collapsed down the stretch.
