4th national rubber confab set in Oro

THE Department of Agriculture (DA) is inviting Dabawenyos to attend and participate in the 4th National Rubber Congress on October 17 to 18 to be held at the Pearlmont Hotel in Cagayan de Oro City.

The event will reveal the rubber industry's current situation and trend not only in the local market, but also in the world market.

Updates on the Kadayawan Festival 2007

The event aims to present the rubber industry's strategic plans to take advantage of attractive market trend, innovative financing scheme, and the government policy support and technical support

DA Secretary Arthur Yap and DA Undersecretary Jesus Emmanuel Paras will grace the event.

Paras will deliver his congress message, while current resolutions in the rubber industry will be presented by Yap.

Among topics to be discussed during the congress include the National Rubber Development program; Innovative Financing Scheme for Rubber; Rubber Marketing and Quality Control; Production Performance of Rubber Clones; Rubber Production in Drier Areas; Technology Update on Rubber Tapping; Rubber Farming for Reforestation; and the Legislative Agenda for Rubber Industry.

Registration fee is P1,800 inclusive of lunch, snacks, information materials and bag.
