THE Davao City National High School (DCNHS) beat Stella Maris Academy of Davao, 61-54, in the cadet category of the 5th Gaisano South (GS) Cup at the GS Citimall SkyGym Sunday.
DCNHS, which improved to a 3-1 win-loss card, kept the second spot of bracket B where the Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) led with a clean 3-0 slate.
Smad dropped to 0-3 in the cagefest sanctioned by the Basketball Association of the Philippines-Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (BAP-SBP).
In bracket A, Assumption College of Davao (ASD) improved to 3-2 after thrashing Holy Cross Academy of Sasa (HCAS), 110-33. The latter absorbed its fourth loss in five starts.
ACD also pulled off a rousing 99-41 win over Magallanes Elementary School in the mini category and ACD whipped the University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC), 54-35, in the girls' event.
The Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) Blue Knights defeated the Jose Maria College (JMC) Kings, 58-47, to annex their second win in three outings in college division 1.
