HOLIDAY Gym & Spa Davao and Cebu branches, the leaders in total wellness concept, attended the National Fitness Convention held at Holiday Inn Manila Galleria Suites from October 5 to 7.
All aspects of healthy living were covered in the seminar by presenters of varied nationalities and experts in their respective fields.
The three-day convention was conducted by experts from Australia, Hong Kong, England, USA and Singapore.
HGS group exercise instructors were shown the latest in step aerobics, using dance moves in group exercise classes and adding theme or motif to classes, such as music from the 70s or 80s.
On the other hand, HGS gym instructors or personal trainers were given updates on sports conditioning, athletic training, functional strength training and overcoming plateaus in fitness.
HGS fitness managers received updates on customer service, motivation, marketing, membership retention and powering up sales. There were also workshops on exercise mechanics, fusion workshop for group exercise classes, indoor cycling workshops, and core training for sports.
For this year's convention, Holiday Gym & Spa sent six participants from Davao City: Ivy Fernandez, Korn Cocjin, Dindo Amper, Jet Togonon, Cocoy Malbog and Salvador Uy and another six participants from HGS Cebu branch -- Veron Enriquez, Annie Neric, Eric Maboloc, Revie Ching, and Ed Gonzales.
