THE City Prosecutor's Office charged a man accused of possessing an improvised handgun along Malvar Street, Davao City on Tuesday.
Charged was Jomark Joaquin Dancel, 19, a resident of San Pedro Extension, Davao City, after city prosecutor Edwin Diez found probable cause to hold him for court trial based on the complaint of Private First Class Ramil Sumagaysay of the Task Force Davao.
In his affidavit, Sumagaysay said they were conducting a routine patrol at around 3 p.m. of October 16 when a group of men who were walking along Malvar Street suddenly scampered in different directions as they approached.
He said he was only able to corner one of the men, who turned out to be Dancel.
When frisked, the improvised handgun and M16 ammunition were found in Dancel's possession.
The San Pedro police filed the case at the CPO.
Diez recommended a bailbond of P12,000 for the respondent's temporary liberty.
