THE City Prosecution Office charged three men accused of stabbing dead another along diversion road in Buhangin, Davao City, this October.
Charged for the murder of Julius Bacolod Caramonte were Jojo (complete name withheld for being a minor); Panfilo Delgado Lade Jr. 18; and Reynaldo Logronio dela Torre, 18, all of Buhangin proper in Davao City.
City Prosecutor Stella Esparagoza Camino recommended the filing of charges based on the affidavit filed by the witness, Normel Pastor Lapinig of Talontalon loop in Zamboanga City.
In his affidavit, he said Lapinig was with the victim at around 12:35 a.m. of October 12 from a drinking spree in San Vicente in Buhangin, Davao City.
He said they were waiting for a jeepney along the diversion road in Buhangin and when they flagged down one, the suspects blocked their way and held Lapinig.
He claimed that when he pacified the suspects, who were holding the victim, he was punched in the face and saw the suspects jointly stabbed the victim who managed to run away.
He said he saw the suspects chased the victim until the latter fell on the ground.
He claimed he went to Buhangin and identified the suspects from the police rogue gallery thus, the filing of the case.
No bail was recommended for each of the respondent's temporary liberty.
