Tuesday, October 30, 2007 Evangelista sisters shine
SISTERS Dara Clariza and Daniella Camyl Evangelista bagged medals in the just-concluded DCAA Meet swimming competition to qualify for the Davao Regional Athletic Association (Davraa) Meet.
Dara, who is a mainstay of the Davao Wisdom Academy swimming team along with elder sister Daniella, cornered four gold medals and one silver medal for the Unit 8 elementary team.
Grade 4 student Dara dominated the 50 meter freestyle, 50m backstroke, 50m butterfly, and 100m freestyle. She salvaged a silver in the 100m butterfly event.
Daniella, for her part, won silvers in high school 200m freestyle and 100m backstroke and two bronzes in 200m backstroke and 400m freestyle. She also finished fourth in 100m freestyle. (MLSA)
