Travel Club's new look
By Marissa Ann S. Te Eng Fo

OCTOBER 19, 2007 marked the reopening (new look) of The Travel Club, the country's top travel companion company.

The Travel Club's slogan no one knows travel like we do is really exemplified as one goes to the store located at the ground floor level of SM City Davao.

Post comments here on President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's grant of pardon to former President Joseph Estrada.

Post your comments on the explosion at the Glorietta 2 mall in Makati City.

The store looks fantabulous! The design of the store gives credence to the display. And I can say too it has that clean look, something we always look forward to when we go shopping.

It makes it easier to look for what we want to buy. And oh boy did I see one! A handbag and am definite will be a part of my collection.

There is an array of travel bags for ladies on-the-go, to children's cutesy cartoon character influenced designed daily and/or travel bags, excursion -- to business executive bags or bags for just hanging out and for just being a fashionista (remember that song?..No one ugly allowed?).

I can't say more except that when we went to this soft opening with media buddies, all we had to say was ooohhhh and aaahhhhh's! The display items were all tastefully designed with a thought in mind: one for each occasion.

Gigie Agtay bought an ace bag without hesitation. Romy Sabaldan was checking out the American Tourister laptop bag (I have one already which I purchased during the Mindanao Travel and Tour Expo 06 and its great! It still looks good and easy to carry around that really protects my personal computer).

While I was intently gawking at the new luggage designs Samsonite and Victorinox (makers of the original Swiss army knife), Roger Layson and Mutya Tarona were looking at everything.

We went for lunch with Raquel V. Serrano, channel manager of Uniglobe Travelware Co. Inc and Michelle Alcomendras of their Davao Office.

During lunch we did not stop talking about the other excellent products of Bratpak and North Face, with stores also located at the ground floor of SM City Davao.

The inventory of the company does not consists of travel bags alone but also shoes, tents for outdoor life, bags, dive gear accessories, fun slippers and more. You name the top brands they've got it (Carlton, Jansport, hama, timbuk2, eagle creek, aigle, hedgren, nalgene, world traveler, Columbia sportswear, Sledgers France and more).

Well, Christmas is around the corner. Happy shopping!
