SOME 200 golfers are all set to vie for the P1 million hole-in-one cash prize as the 1st F.S. Dizon Charity Golf tees off at 6 a.m. Saturday at the Rancho Palos Verdes Golf and Country Club in Indangan, Mandug.
The System 36 scoring format golfest will also award trophies to the class A, B, C, D champions and runners-up and the lowest gross.
The tournament, which is organized by the family of the late Don Francisco S. Dizon, will benefit the Davao Medical Center, Maharlika Charity Foundation, Missionary Sisters of Charity, and the Bahay Pasilungan.
The family of the late Dizon patriarch wanted to continue his legacy of helping his four favorite charitable institutions.
The late Dizon was said to have allocated certain amount every year to donate to these charities.
Davao City-based and out-of-town golfers are expected to join the P2,000 registration fee event. (MLSA)
