Tuesday, November 13, 2007 City Tourism to put up info desk at airport By Carlo P. Mallo
THE City Tourism Office will put up an information desk at the arrival area of the Davao International Airport to cater to tourists.
"We have to inform the tourists of the do's and dont's of the city," City Tourism Officer Gerardine Angeles-Duran said during Monday’s Kapehan sa Dabaw.
Davao City has continually been home to an increasing number of foreign nationals who come into the city for business, education, and tourism.
However, the tourism industry in the city has been plagued with reports of undesirable foreign nationals in the country.
The latest report was a Korean national who was whacked by North Cotabato Vice Governor with a golf club for being rude.
Earlier this year, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte has also sought the deportation of one unruly Korean national who was shown utmost disrespect for the city's anti-smoking ordinance.
