In a text message, Nograles said he is never closing his doors to the possibility that he and Duterte would patch up their differences.
Knowing Duterte, he said, the mayor has the propensity of being unpredictable.
"Duterte has mood swings. Never can tell with that guy. I am still open for a reconciliation though, it's good for Davao. When he is not angry and he returns to his senses, maybe it's possible," Nograles said.
The Dabawenyo lawmaker, however, warned that he will no longer allow the mayor to keep on bullying him. He said he will be the last man standing if ever their conflict would drag on.
Duterte and Nograles's word war hit the headline among major local paper and national television after the mayor berated the former House Majority Leader, accusing the latter of various "infractions" that caused Duterte to blow up.
The mayor called Nograles a hypocrite, a son-of-a-****, among others. Nograles replied by saying that the mayor does not scare him.
In a television interview, Nograles said it's about time that somebody stood up against the way Duterte runs things in Davao City. (BOT)
