What is Nike in the post-MJ era?
By Romy Sabaldan
Davao Beat

NIKE Philippines will support the development of football in Davao City specifically the holding of tournaments organized by the Davao Football Association (DFA) and Paul John Garcia's United Colours of Football.

PJ Pilares, Equipment Sales Manager of Nike Philippines, sounded the expression of support in a meeting Monday with DFA president Gerry Romero-Salas at the Cafe Marco.

Organizers of the United Colours of Football lead by DFA Director Boboy Arrieta and Garcia attended the meeting that hopes to firm up future undertakings to be supported by them.

The initiative of Nike Philippines to come down to Davao was encouraged by Athletic Club's Monchit Mackay.

As a simple token of DFA's reciprocal expression of confidence to the world famous footwear brand, Pilares handed over to DFA fifteen expensive modern soccer balls of the Nike class.

Also present during the simple hand over held Monday afternoon at the Marco Polo Hotel in Davao City include Footwear Sales Manager Cecile Patou, Apparel Sales Executive Angel Souza, and Athletic Club owner Monchit Mackay.

The Nike sales team is Equipment Sales Executive Lee Tajonera, Country Sales Manager Camille Karaan, and sales executives Emer Castillo and Vangie Asuncion.

As to the question, what is Nike in the post-Michael Jordan era?
Pilares' quick response was a long list of names of football and basketball heroes including Lebron James.
