Cage tourney rest Sunday

THE 5th RRD-AFP/PNP Basketball Tournament was moved from Saturday, November 17, to Sunday, November 18, at the Davao City Recreation Center.

Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and EastMinCom Commanding General Cardoza Luna will lead officials in the opening ceremony at 2 p.m.

Teams entered in the event are the Police Regional 11, 10th Infantry Division, 28th IB, Philippine Air Force, Philippine Navy, Regional Mobile Group, National Support Unit, Task Force Davao, 22nd Light Armored Co., Bureau of Fire Protection, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and Davao City Police Office.

City Sports Coordinator Christopher "Bong" Go said three games are scheduled after the draw lots.

Go, who is also the co-team manager of the Duterte Agilas-Goldstar Hardware, added that the BAP-Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas 11 would be taking charge of the technical side of the event.

Aside from the qualification of the Top Two teams from the two brackets to the Best Four Round, an additional consolation round will also be scheduled for the No. 3 and No. 4 placers.
