Friday, November 23, 2007 Sarangani, Polomolok tankers in Mindanao Inter-School swimfest
SARANGANI and Polomolok tankers will also compete in the Mindanao Ceelin Inter-School Swimming Championships on Saturday and Sunday at the Woodridge Park and Country Club.
Event director Darren Evangelista said there are now 140 participants who signed up for the two-day swimfest.
"There are also entries from Tagum, Panabo, General Santos and Koronadal," Evangelista said during the regular Davao Sporswriters Associaton (DSA), at the Tower Inn Thursday. Competition will start at 10 a.m.
The opening rite is set at 8 a.m. then the coaches meeting will be at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the top three swimmers in every event while ribbons will go to the fourth and fifth finishers.
The top three teams will receive trophies and special awards will be given to the most outstanding swimmers per category.
The tournament is supported by Ascorbic Ceelin, McDonald's and Holiday Gym and Spa. (MLSA)
