Corteza, Reyes whip foes

Corteza of the Negros Billiard Stable disposed of Tetsu Haraguchi of Japan to avenge his loss to Guinness 9-Ball Tour grand champion Chang Jung-Lin of Chinese Taipei.

Corteza, the 28-year-old reigning National BSCP champion and Turning Stone New York titlist, joined Efren "Bata" Reyes and Cebuano Warren Kiamco in the winners side.

Reyes, playing under Puyat Sports, racked up wins over Japanese bets D. Enami and Y. Morino while Kiamco defeated K. Suzuki and A. Shiraiwa.

Francisco "Django" Bustamante and Ramil "Bebeng" Gallego were sent to the losers' side after bowing to Japan's Y. Hisada and Taiwan's Hung Hsiang-wang. (MLSA)
