THE body of a security guard, bearing hack wounds, was found dumped at a forested area of a subdivision in Cabantian, Davao City, Wednesday night.
Buhangin police said they received information at around 11:30 p.m. that a body was found in the area, prompting authorities, led by Senior Inspector Antonio Alberio, chief of the Buhangin police, to immediately respond and investigate.
Police identified the victim as Bonifacio R. Dumalagan, 30-years-old, an employee of the Black Arrow Security Agency and a resident of Cabantian.
Based on police investigation, it was learned that the victim was on duty at the subdivision at around 11 p.m. when unidentified man approached and hacked the victim for still unknown reason.
Several wounds were found on the right hand of the victim that authorities believe he got while trying to fend off his attacker. Two deep wounds on his head caused his instantaneous death.
The suspect immediately fled after the incident. The body of the victim was brought to the Angel Funeral Parlor.
Authorities are still conducting investigation to identify the suspect and the motive of the crime. (RCO)
