Fifteen-year-old Halila Sudagar won unopposed gaining 166 votes out of the 170 SK chairpersons present during Thursday's elections held at the Conference Room of the City Council Building.
Sudagar will replace outgoing SK Federation President and Councilor April Marie Dayap.
Sudagar, in a short interview said, she is glad to have the opportunity to serve fellow youths. She promised to continue the projects started by Dayap.
The Davao Council welcomed the new SK Federation president during their special session Friday. Sudagar was given the chance to say a few words during the said session.
The young lass, clad in pink, thanked the youth for their support and committed to be as vigorous as Dayap in her service.
Dayap, who was also asked for a short speech, congratulated Sudagar and said an almost tearful goodbye to her colleagues in the Davao City council.
"I thank you for this great opportunity of working with you and for all the things you have taught me," Dayap said.
Dayap, however, will still be present in next week's session for the formal turnover and to deliver her final privilege speech.
