Tuesday, December 11, 2007 Man's body found at Shrine Hills
A BODY of a man believed to be a victim of salvaging was found on Shrine Hills, Matina, Davao City at dawn Monday.
The victim remains unidentified since police did not find any identification card or document on the body, which has now been brought to the Patalinghug Funeral Parlor.
Based on initial investigations by the Talomo police station, the body was found by joggers at around 4 a.m. Monday, a few meters way from the tower of Home Radio.
The victim was lying on the grassy shoulder of the road with his feet on the cemented portion.
The victim is believed to be between 35 to 40 years old, with wavy hair, wearing a white t-shirt and maong pants.
Upon examination, the body was found to have stab wounds on the chest, back, face, and other parts. No drop of blood was found near the victim, leading police and residents in the area to believe that the body was dumped in the isolated area.
The victim's wrists were also found to bear marks of handcuffs or were tied together before he was killed.
The Talomo police are still conducting further investigation to identify the victim and possible leads to solve the crime. (RCO)
