Holy Child takes Game One vs PPC

THE Holy Child School of Davao (HCSD) defeated Southern Philippines Polytechnic College, 72-59, in Game 1 of their best-of-three junior division 1 finals of the 5th Gaisano South (GS) Cup at the GS Citimall SkyGym Sunday.

Baser Amer led HCSD with 13 points, two rebounds, one assist and two steals.

In division 2, St. Therese College of Technology routed Assumption College of Davao, 80-69, as Aric Fernandez sizzled with 33 markers, 12 rebounds, three assists, three steals and four blocks.

The Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) Blue Knights sank the Agro Sailors, 78-64, in college division 1 with the heroics of Richard Madelo who drilled 29 points and added two rebounds and two steals.

The Mats College of Technology also took Game 1 of the college division 2 finals after beating AMA Computer College, 84-73. Thommy Collados was named best player of the game with 26 points, 14 rebounds, four assists, one steal and two blocks.

The Ateneo girls team survived an 88-84 win over ACD while the Ateneo cadet squad pulled off an 82-78 victory against HCSD.

ACD won Game 1 of the mini finals over Ateneo.

Game 2 of the junior division 2 and college division 2 is set on Friday. (MLSA)
