HGS holds fun-filled Christmas celebration

EVERYONE at the Holiday Gym and Spa (HGS) experienced Christmas as its members and staff held a fun-filled party last December 22 at the Sequoia Inn.

Parlor games with the five different departments of HGS competing for best presentation were held that night. The HGS departments composed of: Group Exercise, Gym Instructors, Boxers, Support Services, Front Desk/Admin, all gave it their best shot all in the spirit of fun and camaraderie.

The winners went home with P3,000 for the first place, P2,500 for second place, P2,000 for the third, P1,500 for the fourth, and P1,000 for fifth place. The judges for the contest were Bryan Grandeza, Marco Tamayo, and Michael Dakudao.

Bagging the top prize was the Group Exercise Department who did a spoof of different HGS staff; Boxing Department was adjudged second place while
Gym Instructors won third place. Fourth and fifth places were awarded to the Front Desk/Admin Personnel and Support Services departments, respectively.

A singing contest was also held and the top three contenders all tied with a score of 100. Wendell Sombreo, Dodjie Batu, and surprisingly Ivy Fernandez all got a perfect 100 score.

Another round of singing was held to break the tie, but it was on the last and third round that Dodjie Batu emerged as the Singer of the Night, with a special prize of P1,000 from HGS member Charlie Toh.

Wendell and Ivy tied for the second spot with Ivy conceding that Wendell is the better singer. Wendell enjoyed a P500 prize donated by Romeo Birrey.

Nobody went home empty handed as Conpinco, William Lima, and Paulino Gimenez prepared gift bags for everyone. Other sponsors for the night were Birrey, Toh, Jenny Espinoza, Dang Manalang, Eugene and Jeanett Yutankin, Alvin Uy of Lechoneros, Jerry Lagrimas of Coca-Cola, Tess and Martin Tionko and Anton Hao of Sequoia Inn.
