Region wet this week
By Carlo P. Mallo

SOUTHERN Mindanao will experience more rains this week with cloudy skies prevailing for most of the week. Luzon and the Visayas will experience rainy weather as a low-pressure area traverses the area.

No tropical storm is expected to enter the country's area of responsibility.

In its weather forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Southern Mindanao would experience cloudy to partly cloudy skies especially from late afternoon until the evenings with rain showers and isolated thunderstorms.

Light to moderate winds will be blowing from the Southeast and Northwest directions.

Coastal waters will be ranging from slight to moderate. Temperatures in Southern Mindanao will range from a high of 32 degrees Celsius and to a low of 23 degrees Celsius.

Due to the incessant rains that has affected Southern Mindanao for the past week; the Regional Disaster Coordinating Council has been placed on heightened alert closely monitoring the flood prone and landslide prone areas of the region.
