Tuesday, January 15, 2008 Retired soldier killed in front of wife
A RETIRED member of the Philippine army was stabbed dead in front of his wife by two unidentified assailants in Upper Piedad in Toril, Davao City last Sunday night.
PO2 Enrique Ayao of the Toril Police station identified the victim as Antonio Tanalco Callot, 55, a resident of Dacoville subdivision in Dumoy, Davao City.
The incident happened at around 10:30 p.m. of Janaury 13.
Callot and his wife Lourdes were on board a trisikad from Barangay Bayabas in Toril when two men blocked their way and stabbed the victim as they arrived Upper Piedad.
The victim succumbed to stab wounds in his neck and other parts of his body.
The victim was brought to the Villa Funeral Homes in Toril.
The Toril police are conducting a follow investigation to identify the killers. (RMH)
