Agency to hold 4-day carpentry training

THE Construction Manpower Development Foundation (CMDF) will hold a "general carpentry training" on January 29 to February 1 at the Lapanday Skills Training Center (LSTC) in Mandug, Davao City.

The four-day training will educate the skilled workers of construction firms on the efficient, accurate, and standard practices in carpentry works.

It will provide the construction skilled workers inputs about the proper and safe use of various tools and equipments in carpentry works.

The CMDF, an attached agency of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), is urging construction firms to send their skilled workers to this training in order for them "to possess the right quality and workmanship required by the owner/client" of the building or infrastructure which they are working on.

Each participant will just have to pay P1,500 to cover the meals and training materials that will be used.

The CMDF is optimistic that through this training, Davao Region's construction industry will get a boost because of the quality and competency of the local skilled workers that it offers.

For inquiries, interested parties may contact CMDF at (082) 224-0511 local 420. You may talk to Engineer Marc Anthony Jabonero for further details.

CMDF office in Davao City is located at the fourth floor of Mintrade Building, corner Monteverde Avenue and Sales Street, Davao City.
