THE suspect in the killing of broadcaster Fernando "Batman" Lintuan posted his reduced bail of P40,000 from P80,000 for illegal possession of firearm charges and P100,000 from P200,000 for violation of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Oliver Baldonado Antoc, who pleaded not guilty to drug charges and is yet to be arraigned for the illegal possession of a firearm before Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 17, was earlier granted of his motions to reduce bail in two charges filed against him.
Antoc was charged based on the joint affidavit of arrest executed by PO3 Melvin Joseph Violan and PO2 Anthony Dechaves of the Regional Special Operation Group of the Police Regional Office Southern Mindanao.
Antoc was arrested at 6:15 p.m. of December 28 while buying grilled chicken with his wife at La Verna Hills in Buhangin for an unlicensed handgun and a sachet of crystalline substance believed to be shabu in his possession.
Antoc was also identified by two witnesses in a police lineup as the one who shot Lintuan just over a hundred meters from the dxGO radio station along R. Castillo St. in Agdao at around 9:40 a.m. of December 24.
He has yet to be charged for alleged involvement in Lintuan murder.
