IT'S all systems go for the 3rd DIA Manager's Cup Badminton Tournament on March 9 at the Smashville courts.
The organizing Air Traffic Controllers of the Davao Control Tower, in a statement, said, "The issue on the FAA downgrading the aviation system of the country will not dampen the staging of the tournament."
"This one day event is a friendly competition open to all employees of the airline and general aviation industry, DIA Concessionaires, Philippine Air Force, and the Department of Transportation and Communications," the organizers said.
It will feature the men's and women's doubles events.
The champions will pocket P6,000 while the runners-up will receive P4,000 and P2,500 will go to the third placers.
Freebies courtesy of sponsors also await players who will come from different airports in the country.
"The success, credibility, and the mounting demands from the participating agencies who had much fun on the previous tournaments made us decide push through with the third edition of the Cup," the organizers added. (MLSA)
