Lawyer Domingo Duerme, top executive of the Philippine Airlines and immediate past president of the Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Incorporated, said the government of Canada has lifted the travel advisory on Davao.
The lifting of the travel advisory was confirmed by no less than Ambassador Robert Desjardins of the Canadian Embassy in the Philippines during a brief remarks wherein he congratulated the 2008 officers of the DCCCII headed by Simeon Marfori II during their induction at the Davao Convention Center last January 31.
In that talk, Desjardins also vowed to come to Mindanao as often if not more often than the former Canadian ambassador. Canada has many projects in Mindanao. (GLP)
