Macau, Malaysia to join Davao travel show
By Carlo P. Mallo

THE tourism boards of Malaysia and Macau will be two of the premier participants in this year's Davao Travel Show.

Susan Palad, director of Konkordans, said the Macau Tourism Board and the Malaysian Tourism Board would participate in the travel show.

Post here your Valentine's Day greetings

Konkordans, together with Global-Link MP Events International Inc., are the organizers of the event.

"Unlike last year when we only had one resort from Malaysia, Aformosa, this year, it will be the Malaysian Tourism Board," Palad said during the Kapehan sa Dabaw at SM City Davao Monday.

Palad is hopeful that this year's travel show will outshine the previous one.

Last year, the Davao Travel Show was able to generate over P17 million of on site sales with more than 5,700 visitors.

The Davao travel Show 2008 is slated on February 22 to 24, 2008 at the Events Plaza of SM City Davao.

Palad is confident that the Davao Travel Show 2008 will bring together key players and major decision-makers of the travel industry during the three-day event.

The Department of Tourism (DOT) has endorsed the Davao Travel Show, and DOT Secretary Joseph Ace Durano is expected to attend its opening.
