CLOUDY skies will continue to prevail in Southern Mindanao as a wind convergence affects the entire region. Widespread rains will prevail over the eastern portion of the region, which, according to the weather bureau, might trigger flashfloods and landslides.
The rest of the region will only have scattered rain showers accompanied by thunderstorms.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), the country's weather bureau, said in its forecast that a wind convergence is affecting the region.
Southern Mindanao can expect the rainy weather to continue until about the middle of the week. Fair weather is expected by Friday this week.
Temperatures in the region will vary from a high of 30 degrees Celsius to a low of about 24 degrees Celsius.
Light to moderate winds will blow over Southern Mindanao from the Northeastern and Eastern directions. Coastal waters in the region will be slight to moderate.
Humidity is expected to peak in the morning at a low of 89 percent at about 5:00 a.m. while it will be at its lowest of 67 percent at about 2:00 in the afternoon.
