By Grace L. Plata

THE militant Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (Bayan) said the government is wrong in thinking that Filipinos are already tired and are likely not to stage another People Power sometime soon.

In a press conference Monday, Bayan Secretary Jeppie Ramada said people's movements are getting bigger by the minute manifested by the numerous rallies from different sectors nationwide calling for the President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's resignation.

Only Monday, the 22nd year of first Edsa People Power uprising, the peoples' organizations, church, youth and students poured in Davao City's main streets ending with an ecumenical prayer rally at the Freedom Park.

"The Filipino people's struggle is continuing. If there is something that we should reminisce about the Edsa I uprising, it is the struggle of the Filipino people against tyranny and corruption. Now, Marcos ideals dwell in the US-Arroyo regime. Tyranny has returned," Ramada said in a printed statement.
