BACOLOD CITY -- Golfers from Davao City are frowning in the City of Smiles.

The Lanang Golf Club somersaulted from 4th to 8th in the standings with its two-day total of 173 points, while the Davao City Golf Club is stuck in 11th place after collecting 164.

The Davao City Golf Club actually fired an even better score in the second round with 87 points, but its output is still 48 points behind pace-setting Iloilo, which accumulated 212 points.

Enrico Gavino produced the day's best score for Davao with 29 points. Backing him up were Ludwig Ledesma (23), Willy de Leon (18) and Alberto Pogoy (17).

Scorers for Lanang were Manuel Grandeza (25), Elvi Naranjo (22), Bobby Plana (18) and Dennis Salvador (18). Mario Enumerables did not count after scoring just 12 points.

Villamor is trailing Iloilo by six points after making 206. Alta Vista is at third with 201, while Bacolod and Alabang both had 185 points to share fourth place in the tournament backed by platinum sponsors Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, GE Aviation, MTV Philippines and Solar Sports.
