BACOLOD CITY -- Negros ruled the Founders Division of the 61st Philippine Airlines (PAL) Interclub via a wire-to-wire fashion Saturday at the Bacolod Golf and Country Club here in Binitin, Murcia.
Negros tallied a four-day total of 456 points, 15 points up on surprise second placer Orchard Golf, which finished with 441.
Dethroned champion Cebu Country Club settled for third place after amassing 440, while Wack Wack ended up fourth with its 414. Riviera finished fifth after scoring 411.
In the Sportswriters Division, Villamor took home the title after scoring 423 points. Alta Vista finished second (410) and Iloilo third (406).
Villamor scored only 97 points in the final day but still wound up the big winner. Alta Vista fired 106 in the final round to grab second place.
Alabang (362), Lanang (361), and Bacolod (355) placed fourth, fifth and sixth, respectively. (CRAM)
