"We are expecting 15 teams in the men's event and seven teams in the women's division. Since this is an open competition, teams from nearby cities and provinces might also see action," Sebellino said.

She said teams from Tagum, Panabo and Digos are certain to join the meet since the Regional Prisaa Meet will also be held in those schedule.

"It is convenient for the teams to come and compete in two competitions at the same time," Sebellino said.

She said it is the first time they will hold a women's competition sanctioned by the Philippine Amateur Sepak Takraw Association.

The men's open champion will go home with P3,000 while the next three placers will receive P2,000, P1,500 and P1,000.

In the women's side, the first four teams will win P1,500, P1,000, P700 and P500. (MLSA)
