The home of authentic beef
By Ana Felicia Dulay

MORE gastronomic delights awaited members of the media when Bigby's Cafe and Restaurant hosted a lunch recently.

With a hungry stomach, I trooped to SM City Davao and joined Marily Roque, Maya Pardillo, Mutya Tarona, Tessa Piansay of SM and Bigby's part owner Carmencita Zurita to sample the restaurant's mouth-watering dishes anew.

Bigby's Restaurant at the ground floor of SM City serves only authentic Angus beef, the kind that "melts in your mouth," to quote a popular chocolate ad.

Aside from other international cuisine, Bigby's is proud of its beef recipes, meat that is actually good for your heart.

Most foreigners can be spotted sampling their cuisine as they truly feel at home here. The servings are bigger and the dishes are familiar.

At Bigby's you can savor real beef that is marbled, which means it is a combination of both meat and fat and its juice is tender and juicier. Of course, they also serve Asian, American and European dishes that truly sate the palate.

The restaurant started in Cagayan de Oro City and opened its doors here four years ago. The brains behind this restaurant are three buddies who have been friends since high school.

As fate would have it, two of them studied culinary arts in college, while another studied a marketing course. Bigby's Restaurant and Cafe is the fruit of this perfect combination.

So the next time you want to sample real beef dishes and other international cuisine, look no further.
