THE Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) bagged four titles at the close of the Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte Araw ng Dabaw Football Festival at the Tionko field over the weekend.
Davao Football Association (DFA) secretary Erwin Protacio Monday said Ateneo bested Garuda Football Club (FC) and Montserrat-Summerland for the 10-under crown.
Ateneo A, meanwhile, topped the 12-under event as against runner-up Catalunan Grande and third placer Ateneo B in the two-day bootfest presented by Mayor Duterte through the Sports Development Division of the City Mayor's Office.
Ateneo also won the elementary girls event while SOS Children's Village placed second and Holy Child School of Davao (HCSD) came third.
The Ateneans romped away with the high school girls' plum at the expense of HCSD and Emar Learning Center, which settled for second and third, respectively.
In the U-14 event, FC Dabaw ruled over Ateneo and M'lang while Sea Gull FC dominated the ladies open over DDS FC and Davao U-17.
The Lumad, Africa United, and FilChi FC teams grabbed the first three honors of the men's 35 and above division. (MLSA)
