ROY Gimarino bagged the cash prize of P15,000 after winning the 2008 Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte Open Tenpin Singles Bowling Tournament at the NCCC Mall B3 Lanes Wednesday evening.
This was bared by Durian Tenpin Bowlers Association (Dutba) spokesperson Paul Rabe at the Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum at the Tower Inn Thursday.
"Gimarino defeated Dutba vice-president Romy Garcia in the step-the-ladder finals. Garcia instead got the runner-up honors and the cash prize of P7,000," Rabe said.
Veteran player Nonoy Calida placed third while William Lam came fourth to go home with P5,000 and P3,000, respectively.
Rabe said top lady player Christine Alovera received P1,000 while Tess Gancio claimed P700 and Evelyn Gonzales with P500.
He added Dutba is preparing for the San Pedro Fiesta tournament and the Kadayawan sa Dabaw Open Bowling Tournament. (MLSA)
