Golf, Golf and more Golf
By Imee Garcia

AFTER a poor game of golf, Amy Novelo, a terrible golfer, skipped the clubhouse and started to go home. As she was walking to the parking lot to get her car, a policeman stopped her and asked, "Did you tee off on the sixteenth hole about twenty minutes ago?" "Yes," she responded. "Did you happen to hook your ball so that it went over the trees and off the course?" "Yes, I did. How did you know?" she asked.

"Well," said the policeman very seriously, "Your ball flew out onto the highway and crashed through a driver's windshield. The car went out of control, crashing into five other cars and a fire truck. The fire truck couldn't make it to the fire, and the building burned down. So, what are you going to do about it?"
Amy thought it over carefully and responded...

"I think I'll close my stance a little bit, tighten my grip and lower my right thumb."

Some golfers get so hooked on golf that they forget what's going on around them.
Amy finally had her swing checked and played golf the day after. She got home very late, later than normal. She met up with her buddies for coffee looking very tired. "Did you have a bad day at the course?" Amber asked. "Everything was going fine," she said. "Then Sam had a heart attack and died on the 12th tee." "Oh, that's awful!" Amber said.

"You're not kidding. For the rest of the back nine it was hit the ball, drag Sam, hit the ball, drag Sam."

Golf fanatics have their own world. They even forget about the people who mean a lot to them!

After a couple of days, there was a group of women golfers who noticed a funeral passing by on a road adjacent to the course. Crystal suggested to the others, "Why don't we pause for a moment and show some respect for the dead." So they removed their caps and stand in silence as car after car went by.

Crystal remarked, "There sure are a lot of cars. That person must have been well loved." Amy replied, "Yes, he was. Sam and I would have been married 10 years tomorrow."

Hmmm... Okay, I know that was too much. No one is that engrossed with golf. I exaggerated it a bit. But the jokes were funny, weren't they? I am merely trying to remind everyone, that golf is a game. It is a hobby. It is something you do when you're bored, when you want to relax, and when you want to stay in shape.

You are not supposed to forget everything else. You should give priority to your family. Do not ignore your job. Do not forget your daily tasks, chores, duties, etc.

And when you're done with all your responsibilities, play golf!
