Dayanghirang is PCL national treasurer
By Grace L. Plata

DAVAO City Councilor Danilo Dayanghirang has been elected national treasurer of the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) during its gathering in Manila last Saturday which was attended by about 9,000 councilors from around the country.

Dayanghirang is the first councilor from the city to hold a national position in the PCL. He ran unopposed.

In a phone interview Saturday evening, Dayanghirang attributed his victory to fellow Davao City councilors.

"They really helped me campaign and these efforts have paid off. Now that we have stronger links to the national scene, I expect that I can do more for the city," Dayanghirang said.

Dayanghirang is the current president of the PCL-Davao serving his second term in office and is also the Davao City Council's floor leader.

The newly elected PCL officers also include: Jun Ferrer of Quezon City-national president; Michael Fernandez of Dagupan City-national chairman; Ronald Carcellar of Cebu Province-external vice president; Alan Zulueta of Tagum City-internal vice president; Alam Moreno of Parañaque City-secretary general; Ana Peralta of Zambales-auditor; and Angelo Devandera of Quezon Province-public relations officer.
