Wednesday, April 02, 2008 Urban Club heats up myDSL party By Jojie Alcantara Witerary
URBAN Club, one of the hottest spots in Davao City today, heated up a huge crowd during an after-party, which coincided with the Araw ng Dabaw festival. This event was sponsored by PLDT myDSL, which concluded a series of tours from Luzon, Visayas and finally Mindanao for its myDSL fun campaign.
PLDT myDSL, in partnership with Killer Bee, brought to Davao the myDSL crew from Manila, actress Nancy Castiglione, the Drifter masters from DMF Drift Burnt Rubber Productions, Supah Babes and DJs Kimosave and MC Nathan for a fun-filled dance raid which lasted till the morning.
After mall tours, a car sticker raid at SM City Davao and a drift exhibition at Damosa Gateway, PLDT myDSL's after-party for the locals brought about a jam-packed crowd of Davao's finest myDSL subscribers (am one of them).
This launched myDSL's latest campaigns: the Plan 990 and the Quick Install Kit. Plan 990 UNLIMITED DSL + Landline is PLDT myDSL's most affordable bundle plan, giving subscribers unlimited broadband access and a PLDT landline for a very affordable price of P990 a month. QIK, on the other hand, is a take home do-it-yourself install kit that allows you to get myDSL activation within three days.
Subscribers who avail until April 15 will get freebies like first month's subscription, installation and free PLDT to PLDT NDD calls.
To sign up, just visit any of the PLDT Business Office or any Connect Patrol booths in your area and apply for a myDSL plan. Upon approval of your myDSL, you can take your myDSL Quick Install Kit home and within three days you'll enjoy fast and unlimited Internet surfing.
Kudos to the support of myDSL bosses like Erik Alberto (head of CSMG), Dan Ibarra (retail business group head), Tony Valdez (marketing head), Becky de Guzman (sales head), and Gary Dujali (avp-retail data acquisition).
In another good news, Urban Club celebrated its first year anniversary last March 29, with a whooping mix of music from DJ Elmer Dado.
Urban Club started off with a concept of a dance bar playing all genre of house music namely electro, vocal, tribal and sexy house.
For the older generation, there's R&B and good old 80s music, which I love (Vincent Tupas knows I only attend 80s retro parties). Urban Club can accommodate a good number -- around 800 party people, and that is huge. Pretty wise of PLDT myDSL to choose this party house for the finale of their successful campaign tour.
