DCWD union leader chides manager for 'hate texts'

THE claim of Davao City Water District (DCWD) manager that she has been receiving threats through text messages are nothing but trumped up stories to win over some sympathy, the DCWD employees union leaders said.

Sun.Star Davao headlined last Tuesday that DCWD manager Rodora Gamboa admitted having been receiving threats through text messages, one of which called her a "terrorist."

"Si GM Gamboa nahadlok sa iyang kaugalingong anino, (She is scared of her own shadow)," Aranjuez told Sun.Star Davao in an interview Wednesday.

Aranjuez added that the reason why Gamboa is fearsome is because of what she has allegedly done to the employees.

"Mao na nagbuhatbuhat na lang siya og istorya (That is why she is making up stories)," Aranjuez added.

Aranjuez also said that prior to the appointment of Gamboa as general manager of the water district, she was close to the employees. "Naglahi na man siya tong nahimo na siyang GM (But she changed when she was appointed as general manager)," Aranjuez said.

The employees' union leader added that Gamboa is only being used as a puppet by the members of the Board of Directors (BOD), especially by lawyer Eliseo Braganza, the vice-chair of the Board.

The top officials of the water district have refuted this claim. (CPM)
